XRP is showing signs of a rebound while holding above the $1.40 level, but analysts say there are still hurdles to overcome before reclaiming $1.70.

According to CoinMarketCap on February 15 (local time), XRP rose 9.6% over the past 24 hours and gained 10.58% over the past week. After falling to as low as $1.16 on February 6, the token rebounded and is currently holding around $1.58. Although the price has regained some stability following the sharp short-term decline, analysts caution that it is too early to call this a full-fledged trend reversal.

Crypto media outlet Watcher Guru noted that the recent rebound is not enough to completely shift investor sentiment. The broader cryptocurrency market remains fragile, and investors have yet to actively return to risk assets, including XRP. Concerns over liquidity tightening also persist, leaving open the possibility of renewed volatility at any time.

According to analysis by CoinCodex, XRP is expected to fluctuate between $1.37 and $1.50 in the near term before potentially rising to $1.66 around May 2. However, the likelihood of breaking above $1.70 in the short term was assessed as low. A clear breakout above $1.66 could open the door to further gains toward $1.90, and reaching $1.90 may revive expectations of reclaiming the $2 level.

Meanwhile, several spot XRP ETFs were launched toward the end of 2025, expanding institutional accessibility. Market observers suggest that stronger capital inflows into ETFs could provide additional upward momentum. Goldman Sachs reportedly holds approximately $153 million worth of XRP, primarily through ETFs, highlighting growing institutional exposure.

In conclusion, XRP appears to be searching for direction within a short-term range-bound pattern. Whether it can break above $1.66 is likely to determine the next upward phase. However, without a broader market recovery and improved liquidity conditions, an immediate bullish reversal may be difficult to expect.
