Kim Sang-min, CEO of the Busan Digital Asset Exchange (Bdan), met Eric Trump, the second son of U.S. President Donald Trump, at a World Crypto Forum (WCF) VIP gathering held on the 10th at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, where they discussed future visions for blockchain-based digital finance and the real-world asset (RWA) tokenization market.
On the day, Eric Trump took the stage as an opening ceremony speaker and explained changes in the global digital asset market and the growth potential of asset tokenization, centering on World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a blockchain-based digital finance project in which he is involved.
Eric Trump emphasized, “Asset tokenization is a core trend in global digital finance,” adding, “Real-world-asset-backed digital assets can enhance investment accessibility and fundamentally transform the structure of financial markets.”
During the discussion, CEO Kim said, “Bdan, the Busan Digital Asset Exchange, is Korea’s leading RWA trading platform that provides a stable and transparent investment environment by digitizing real-world assets such as gold and silver,” adding, “By combining the reliability of real assets with blockchain technology, we are going beyond a simple trading platform to establish benchmarks and standards for the domestic RWA market.”
He continued, “Busan is clearly establishing itself as Korea’s hub for digital finance,” and added, “I would like to invite you to Blockchain Week in Busan 2026 (BWB2026), which will be held in Busan this year.”
World Liberty Financial (WLFI), co-founded by Eric Trump together with Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Trump, is a decentralized finance project actively engaged in the fields of digital assets, Web3, and blockchain-based financial innovation.
Meanwhile, the Busan Digital Asset Exchange plans to expand trading of real-world-asset-based digital asset products centered on Bdan and to broaden diverse global partnerships.
