Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, stated that a final agreement on the U.S. cryptocurrency market structure bill, known as the CLARITY Act, is imminent. Garlinghouse expects the bill to be approved within April.
According to CoinGape, Garlinghouse explained that discussions between banks and cryptocurrency firms are yielding results. He estimated an 80% chance that the bill will pass Congress by the end of April. Analysts widely believe that once regulatory clarity is secured, substantial liquidity will flow into the market. On the prediction platform Polymarket, the probability of the bill’s passage is currently estimated at around 60%.
The outcome of the ongoing discussions between the U.S. administration and Congress is expected to serve as a milestone in establishing global cryptocurrency regulatory standards. Garlinghouse stressed that creating a legal foundation to end the current uncertainty is urgently needed.
