The cryptocurrency market fell on Aug. 1 as personal consumption expenditure(PCE) in the U.S. exceeded market expectations. The U.S. Department of Commerce reported on Thursday that PCE in the U.S. rose 2.6 percent year-on-year in June. Excluding energy and food products, the core PCE price index rose 2.8 percent year-on-year and 0.3 percent month-on-month. Both PCE and core PCE beat expert estimates compiled by Dow Jones by 0.1%.
